Job Summary
Senior F5 Network Security Engineer to configure and manage F5 LTM (virtual servers/addresses/pools) and high-availability architectures; perform upgrades, patching, licensing, and partition management; troubleshoot using tmsh, bash, imish, and Configuration Utility; design and support network solutions including BGP, IPv6, CIDR/subnetting, and Cisco VRF; support Azure virtual networking; collaborate with security teams to implement policies, evaluate metrics, and secure DoD missions; develop technical documentation (implementation/test plans, SOPs, TTPs, CONOPS); and contribute to modernizing secure communications infrastructure for national security operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with F5 LTM and load balancing
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- 8140 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of start date
- Experience in DoD networks or similar secure environments
- Experience with Azure networking
- Experience with Cisco/Juniper devices
- Knowledge of SMTP and related security/network protocols
- Ability to produce technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across enterprise and cloud environments
- Ability to design, implement, and operate cybersecurity solutions
- Experience with security design and policy evaluation
