Job Summary
F5 Network Administrator to design, implement, and optimize F5 BIG-IP platforms for application delivery and security across on-prem and cloud environments. Responsibilities include configuring F5 BIG-IP for LTM/APM/WAF/DNS/GTM, building virtual servers, pools, and health monitors, developing iRules, and automating configurations with Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs. Manage SSL/TLS configurations and certificate lifecycle; implement and tune WAF, bot defense, and DDoS protection; support F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) deployments including load balancers, WAAP, and CE nodes. Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and assist with system upgrades and lifecycle management. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams and provide SME guidance and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on F5 BIG-IP administration in enterprise environments
- Strong experience with LTM, APM, WAF/ASM, and DNS/GTM
- Experience with F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) or similar cloud-based application delivery platforms
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, and Layer 4–7 networking
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, APIs)
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS, PKI, and security best practices
