Job Summary
Lead the Food & Beverage team in daily café operations, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and guest satisfaction. Maintain top hygiene and food safety standards while supporting food prep, cooking, and menu development. Manage stock ordering, rotation, and monthly stocktakes, alongside handling POS systems, cash reconciliation, and till setup. Assist with rostering, admin tasks, and SOP updates, while driving sustainability initiatives and health & safety practices. Collaborate across Waitomo attractions and support other sites when needed. This role requires a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in busy hospitality environments
- Strong food handling and barista skills
- Excellent communication and leadership qualities
- High attention to detail and a calm approach under pressure
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Confidence using POS systems and general IT tools
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
