Job Summary
Purchasing - Cost Controller responsible for monitoring purchasing, receiving, inventory tracking, and storage of inventories. Will support month-end processes and accruals, generate inventory valuation and food cost reports, perform daily spot checks of outlets, input invoices into the warehouse system, and verify purchase orders prior to Finance/Operational Manager review. Requires 2+ years in a similar restaurant/hotel role, strong communication, organization, and Excel skills, and knowledge of NYS sanitation regulations as it relates to storage. The role emphasizes maintaining clean, orderly storage and effective inventory control to ensure members have an exceptional experience. Seasonal contract role based in Mykonos (Paraga), Greece, with in-person work expectations and opportunities to contribute to a high-quality, service-oriented operation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in similar position in restaurant or full service hotel
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and written effectively with guest, vendors and co-workers and subordinates
- Proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation
- Knowledge of NYS sanitation regulations as it pertains to storage and inventory
- Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Strong Computer skills including Excel
