Job Summary
Deliver high-standard food and beverage service by preparing outlets, setting tables, polishing glassware, and ensuring waiter stations are ready. Execute beverage service by up-selling drinks, advising on wine styles, taking orders, making cocktails, and serving coffee and tea. Recycle materials, enforce cost-saving measures, and store stock in accordance with hotel procedures. Communicate guest comments and difficulties to supervisors, resolve complaints, and log security incidents. Adhere to occupational health and safety policies, operate emergency equipment safely, and participate in daily briefings and training sessions. Work under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager to uphold InterContinental Hotels Group policies and create a desired work culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field
- 1 year of related experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Obtained alcohol awareness certification
- food service permit
- valid health/food handler card
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company
- Able to read and write English
