Job Summary
Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment according to standardized recipes. Portion food products prior to cooking and maintain sufficient stock levels at line stations to ensure smooth service. Handle, store, and rotate all products properly while following standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including all equipment and follow proper plate presentation and garnish setups. Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods and attend all necessary F&B training classes. Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous cooking experience
- Able to work under stress
- Able to work accurately and rapidly
- Able to multitask
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required
- Ability to work with different pieces of kitchen equipment
- Must be well groomed and properly attired
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
- Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary
- Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs
- Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed
- Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities
