Job Summary
Direct Food & Beverage operations by ensuring standards and procedures are followed, managing staff schedules and budgets, and resolving guest complaints to maintain satisfaction. Lead recruiting, hiring, training, and development of F&B staff while conducting performance reviews and enforcing Company policies. Develop annual budgets, marketing plans, and menus to meet sales and financial objectives, ensuring costs remain within guidelines and vendors are evaluated for quality and price. Walk operations daily to identify issues, inspect equipment and inventories, and implement preventative maintenance programs to protect assets. Assist with life safety protocols, accident prevention, and emergency procedures to minimize liabilities while promoting an environment free from harassment. Compile and analyze corporate and property reports, participate in task forces, and collaborate with the General Manager on budget forecasts and strategic improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Five or more years of related experience
- Ability to travel when needed
- Must satisfy and comply with the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in culinary arts, hotel/restaurant management or related major
- SERV Safe and alcohol awareness certification
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting
- Ability to compile facts/figures and analyze information
- Ability to anticipate and identify issues
- Ability to effectively and efficiently schedule, manage and delegate work
- Ability to interview, hire, motivate, develop, monitor and address staff performance matters
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency with all systems related to F&B including OpenTable, POS, ordering platforms, Power BI, Microsoft office
