F/A-18 Ordnance Technician

Job Summary

Write, design, and document technical publications for the Navy's F/A-18 aircraft programs to specification guidelines. Edit scripts, storyboards, and select supporting graphic content while ensuring quality, technical correctness, and instructional soundness of draft and final documents. Participate in all phases of project execution including analysis, design, and development. This role supports SSE's aviation courseware development and virtual training initiatives for military and commercial aircraft. 4 or more years of O-Level/flight-line Ordnance experience on the F/A-18 or EA-18 is required. US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident status is mandatory. 40-hour work weeks with a flexible schedule. Weekly pay checks, 12 paid holidays, 13 PTO days, and 401K with company match.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 or more years' O-Level / Flight-line Ordnance experience on the Navy's F/A-18 or EA-18 Aircraft
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, schematics, technical publications
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work independently and ensure performance to deadlines and milestones
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively deliver a complex message, either written or verbal
  • Knowledge of the following productivity software is desired: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
  • US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card)
