Job Summary
Coordinate fire safety and alarm systems at homeless shelter locations across all five boroughs, ensuring full FDNY compliance while protecting vulnerable residents. Supervise multiple sites with strong leadership, utilizing your valid FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness and NYS Security Guard License to manage daily operations. Operate fire alarm control panels and enforce NYC Fire Code regulations, requiring demonstrated supervisory experience and excellent communication skills. Work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the Operations Team in a full-time capacity. Medical insurance, paid vacation, and sick days are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness — Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters
- Valid NYS Security Guard License
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a fire alarm control panel in a shelter setting
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Strong knowledge of NYC Fire Code and FDNY regulations applicable to shelter environments
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a security or fire safety role
- Excellent communication, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid NYS Security Guard License
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
