Job Summary
Senior Principal Chief Engineer for the F-22 sustainment portfolio in Baltimore, MD. Leads engineering program execution across IPTs, implements technical plans, and coordinates resources to meet contractual deliverables. Applies expertise in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and sustainment; mentors staff and oversees electronic and electromechanical assembly operations. Utilizes process engineering oversight, lean manufacturing (5S), and continuous improvement initiatives. Conducts environmental, electronic, and mechanical testing; develops processes; and performs failure analysis (RCCA, FRACAS, CAR, MRB) to ensure system reliability. Engages customers, manages programs, and oversees project planning and EVMS cost account control; ensures on-time delivery within budget and compliance standards. Requires active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees and potential Top Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field; 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years; ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance; experience leading high-performance cross-functional teams; experience in systems, hardware, and/or software engineering for military/aerospace product environment; ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
