Job Summary
Assist patients in selecting spectacles by educating them on quality choices, lens options, and frame styling to fit their lifestyle. Calculate insurance co-pays, verify orders, and schedule dispensing while accurately entering spectacle orders into the system. Perform adjustments and repairs, troubleshoot patient concerns, and educate clients on eyewear care. Maintain inventory and optical merchandise displays, monitoring patient flow and communicating delays. Contact patients for follow-up on adapting to dispensed eyewear and prescribed contacts. Requires standing, walking, and manual dexterity in a professional medical office environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on a regular basis from floor to waist
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds from waist to shoulder
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds from shoulder to overhead
- Visual and verbal acuity
Desired Qualifications
- Sales or retail experience
- Medical office experience
