Job Summary
Assist patients in selecting spectacles by educating them on quality choices, lens options, and frame styling to fit their lifestyle and prescription. Calculate insurance co-pays, verify orders, and schedule dispensing while monitoring daily lab delivery status. Perform spectacle adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting, and educate patients on eyewear care. Maintain inventory and optical merchandise displays, and monitor patient flow to communicate delays effectively. This role fosters long-lasting relationships through superior customer service in a professional medical office environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on a regular basis from floor to waist
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds from waist to shoulder
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds from shoulder to overhead
- Visual and verbal acuity
