Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts by accurately collecting measurements, operating lensometers, and dispensing orders in E360. Assist patients in selecting frames, educating them on lenses and coatings, and repairing or adjusting patient frames while maintaining inventory standards. Ensure all job aids and policies are followed, perform general office duties and cleaning, and build relationships with patients to exceed their expectations. Full-time position with flexible shift availability within office hours; ABO/ABOC certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications
