Job Summary
Manufacture, visually inspect, and package PVC pipe following J-M Manufacturing Co., Inc. specifications. Responsibilities include operating extruder machines, maintaining a clean workspace, assisting in changeovers, measuring pipe specifications, identifying defects, operating forklifts, making puller speed adjustments, cutting testing samples, and training inexperienced employees. Safety practices must be adhered to in a noisy, potentially hazardous environment. Key qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent experience, basic math skills, and the ability to function in varying physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, decimals, circumference, and volume
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to operate forklifts and powered vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry up to 30 feet
- Ability to push or pull up to 2500 pounds with material handling equipment
