Job Summary
Systems Operator B on 2nd shift (1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.), responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the extrusion press and related handling equipment; set up the press, select dies, read calipers/micrometers and prints, inspect parts during extrusion and after stretching, monitor equipment condition, and ensure safety, quality, and adherence to customer specifications. Requires ability to read shop orders and gauges, operate an electric cart and overhead crane, and follow company procedures. Ongoing duties include communicating issues to supervisors, potential overtime, and passing a skills-based test with background check and drug screen. Location: Newnan, GA, USA.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Must be able to pass a skills-based test
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated: self-starter
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- A minimum of three (3) months' related experience and/or training, preferred, but willing to train the right individuals
- Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
