Job Summary
Execute extrusion technology projects, including setting up Level 0 prototypes, single lot charge runs, and physical property testing for new product programs. Provide hands-on technical expertise to operators and the Operations team for continuous improvement, process optimization, and root cause analysis of rejects. Manage local plant tooling, assist in developing technical specifications, and ensure seamless handoffs from process validation to first production. Support capital projects, pro-track initiatives, and six-sigma corrective action trials while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with hands-on extrusion
- Background in more than one of the following areas: medical device manufacturing, extrusion, injection molding, process improvement, industrial manufacturing
- Knowledge of production line shift work
- Ability to speak English & Spanish
- Ability to come up to speed efficiently
- Effective communication, listening, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
- Individual must be hands-on and willing to work in the production environment including off shifts when positions require
- The ability to travel as necessary
- English communication (speak, read and write)
- MS Office required (Email, Outlook, Word, Excel)
Desired Qualifications
- A solid knowledge of plastics is preferred
