Extrusion Set-Up Tech (Rotating 12-Hour Night Shifts)

Job Summary
Set up and shut down extrusion lines, performing die, sizer, screw, and tooling changeovers to support 24/7 production runs. Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct routine maintenance on extruders and downstream tools, and verify quality standards through inspections and audits. Partner with shift leads, maintenance, and quality teams to minimize downtime, while assisting operators with start-ups and training on best practices. Update work instructions and standard operating procedures to promote a safe, clean, and organized environment. This role requires a 12-hour rotating Panama schedule (2-2-3) from 5:00pm to 5:00am, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of extrusion manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience performing equipment setups and changeovers
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete forklift training
- Work rotating day shifts
- Work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Work overtime when needed
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain dependable attendance
