Job Summary
Extrusion Operator Trainee to operate, set up, and troubleshoot extrusion equipment; perform quality checks, record production output and scrap, label/package rolls, palletize and transport materials, and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures. Role emphasizes learning and performing all aspects of extrusion operations with emphasis on safety, setup/changeovers, proper material handling, and maintaining equipment in a Sugar Land, TX manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills; experience with web-based software and ERP systems preferred
- Basic math skills; must pass a New Hire Base Assessment Test (arithmetic and mechanical aptitude)
- Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience working 12-hour shifts is required
