Job Summary
Extrusion Operator responsible for safe operation of blown film extruders to produce material meeting quality standards at optimum rates; tasks include setting up equipment, feeding, adjusting speed and temperature, inspecting materials, performing quality checks, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with material handling, and coordinating with Production Control. Requires ability to interpret production schedules, operate related machinery, use basic math and measurement skills, and work in a team environment on 12-hour night shifts with potential overtime and weekend work. Emphasis on safety, product quality, and adherence to procedures; forklift operation and familiarity with lab/production software and data collection are included as part of daily duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Proven ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks
- Blown film extrusion experience preferred but not mandatory
- Computer Knowledge: 1-2 years of Windows applications
