Job Summary
Extrusion Operator responsible for operating an extrusion line in a safe, orderly manner to manufacture quality products per production specifications. Functions include starting up/shutting down lines, setting run conditions in SOC via computer systems, safely stopping equipment in normal and emergency conditions, and maintaining adherence to SOPs. Requires operating and testing lab equipment, following safety guidelines, and using production reporting systems. The role supports process engineering, maintenance, and supervision and requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic reading/writing/math skills, and good communication. Night shift (12-hour) with a $19.25/hour base pay plus $1/hour shift differential; multiple health, retirement, and development benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency (required)
- Must be able to read and comprehend English
- Must demonstrate good judgment with decision making in regard to Safety and Quality
- Ability to complete production related documentation on both computer and paper forms (Excel, Word)
- Must be able to follow our safety guidelines
- 2-3 years of manufacturing equipment operation experience (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude (desired)
- Must have basic reading, writing and math skills
- Ability to work additional overtime if required to get the task done (required)
