Extrusion Operator - Night Shift Rotating Schedule

Job Summary
Operate and maintain film extrusion equipment per standard procedures, monitor gauges/valves/temperatures and ensure production stays within specifications. Set up machines requiring precision, load raw materials, manage controls, and unload finished product. Perform routine tests with calibrated measuring devices, verify quality via SPC or equivalent procedures, and document production logs. Identify malfunctions and assist with process improvements to reduce waste and rework. Must be adaptable to shift changes (night shift with 90-day daytime training) and capable of overtime. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, initiative to cross-train, and a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Possess or acquire licensures necessary to perform job
- Ability to work night shift and train on day shift for first 90 days
- Willingness to work overtime
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
- Proficiency in following procedures and documenting production data
- Ability to operate and maintain extrusion equipment and associated controls
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic measurement and quality-check proficiency
- Ability to adapt to changing setups and processes
