Extrusion Operator

Job Summary
Operate and monitor plastic extrusion lines with a focus on mechanical efficiency and quality output, perform mechanical troubleshooting, adjustments, and product dial-ins; conduct in-process and occasional final inspections; perform equipment maintenance and cleaning; maintain accurate quality records; read technical drawings and specifications; lift up to 50 lbs; collaborate with engineers to enhance processes and mechanical systems; work around hot surfaces and materials in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude – hands-on experience with machines, tools, or mechanical systems preferred
- Previous plastic extrusion experience a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications with attention to detail
- Mid-level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment (with or without restrictions)
- Comfortable working around hot surfaces and materials
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for mechanical efficiency
