Job Summary
Operate an extruder while following detailed process instructions and maintaining accurate records of inspection and material usage. Monitor the extrusion process continuously to report irregularities, including blockages, temperature, or pressure variations. Inspect the extruded product regularly to ensure it meets customer specifications, load raw materials, and change screen packs to maintain performance. Clean extrusion crossheads, make incremental adjustments to inputs, and follow safety guidelines with appropriate PPE. Maintain accurate production records and collaborate with team members to meet schedules. Requires 1+ years of extrusion operator experience, ability to stand or sit for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Required Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience as an extrusion operator
- Able to follow written work instructions
- Able to work somewhat independently as well as collaboratively to support a team environment
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently exercising good judgment
- Adapt well to changes in the work environment and able to multitask
- Accept responsibility for one's own actions
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Able to perform physical tasks required while working including but not limited to lifting up to 40lbs., standing or walking for extended times, use of hands to operate machinery and power tools, climbing stairs/ladder, and frequent movement from kneeling or bending to standing and reaching overhead
