Job Summary
Operate extrusion equipment for the mandril, wirebraid, and compounding lines while maintaining and troubleshooting extruders, blenders, cutters, pullers, water baths, and sizing equipment. Process work orders, conduct production, R&D, and engineering runs, and coordinate priorities with materials, production, stock room, and NPD. Assist the supervisor in training other operators, implement new products and equipment, and ensure employees complete assigned tasks to applicable procedures. Contribute to meeting department goals, operational metrics, and a positive, safe working environment. Work the 2nd shift (3:30pm–2:00am) with a high school diploma and three years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma
- Three years of related experience
- Knowledge of the operation of extruders, braiders, pullers, cutters, dies, etc.
- Ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the equipment
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks well
- Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations and follow procedures
- Eye-hand coordination
- Quality inspection
- Computerized test equipment operation
