Job Summary
Monitor assigned extrusion machines to ensure safety, quality, and throughput standards are met. Perform physical and visual product inspections, promptly reporting defects while maintaining accurate production reporting data. Operate core cutting machines, vacuum lifts, and pallet jacks; set up rewinders and adjust equipment as needed. Maintain appropriate material levels to minimize downtime, neatly palletize finished skids, and separate scrap by film type. Adhere to strict safety protocols, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards throughout the shift. Complete required safety trainings and attend team meetings. Work in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy environment with frequent standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take coaching well
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transition
- Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions
- Ability to adhere to safe work practices
- Shift work 8-8 availability
- Overtime availability per business demand
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, stoop, squat up to 75%
- Ability to operate core cutting machine
- Ability to operate vacuum lift
- Ability to operate pallet jack
- Ability to set up and adjust rewinders
- Ability to neatly palletize skids with finished products
- Ability to enter production reporting data into machine computer accurately
- Ability to separate scrap into appropriate film-type gaylord
- Ability to acquire knowledge/skills of Set-up Technicians
- Ability to attend meetings and complete safety trainings
- Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to physically inspect product
- Ability to report quality defects
- Ability to maintain appropriate level of production supplies/materials
- Ability to continuously monitor machine operation
- Ability to meet or exceed production rates
- Ability to minimize waste levels
- Ability to adhere to company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations
