Extrusion Operator Assistant (STP)

Job Summary
Assist the extrusion operator with basic tasks including cleaning machine rollers, organizing production rolls on pallets, general workspace cleaning, delivering samples to the laboratory, and providing support during machine startup. Maintain a clean work area free of materials throughout the shift and monitor resin feed to the extruder continuously. Report directly to the Team Lead and Extrusion Coordinator as required. Perform duties on the manufacturing floor while wearing personal protective equipment, involving exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals. Requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb stairs multiple times daily. Own transportation is needed to visit more than one facility during the day. Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, including team lead and managers
- Basic computer skills for operational and communication purposes
- Self-sufficient and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Knowledge to assist the operation of blown film extrusion machines
- Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in high and low temperature environments
- Capable of climbing stairs multiple times a day
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day
