Job Summary
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment while operating bag machines and performing roll and bag packaging. Key responsibilities include following work instructions, ensuring efficient and high-quality completion of work orders, making safe splices on lines, assembling boxes, and maintaining good housekeeping in the work area. Teamwork and punctuality are essential for effectiveness in this role. The position requires physical capability to lift heavy materials and operate various tools and forklifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Capability to read and use a tape measure
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including utility knives
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to drive sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Ability to stand for long periods, frequent walking, and occasional climbing
