Job Summary
Extrusion Maintenance Technician II on 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:30pm, M-F) responsible for safely performing emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure to minimize downtime. Role includes coordinating with Maintenance Supervisor on stock replenishment, developing SOPs for maintenance personnel, maintaining clean/safe work areas, aligning with quality/environmental management systems, and applying knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubricants, and basic machine shop skills. Requires familiarity with LOTO and safe work practices, welding/brazing/soldering, lifting heavy components, reading blueprints, and TPM participation. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights; strong communication and time-management skills. Base pay $25-$33.50 per hour plus $1 shift differential; second shift at Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, OH; full-time with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards or have an Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent past work experience
- Trained in LOTO, Electrical / Mechanical Safe Work Practices, Ladder Safety, CPR, Respiratory protection, Incipient stage fire response, Confined space entry, Fall protection, Enclosed spaces entry, Aerial lifts, PIT
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Basic PC skills
- Communication and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Welding, braze, solder and cut metal
- Understanding blueprints including scales, symbols and dimensions
