Extrusion Machine Operator

Job Summary
Operate various machines within the manufacturing process to set up, process, and monitor production while performing in-process inspections of parts to ensure they meet visual standards and specifications. Adjust machine settings according to specifications, resolve minor component and quality issues, and maintain production rates stated on work orders or BOMs. Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions, and inspect molds and tools for damage or wear. Report material utilization and daily production data, maintain a 5-S work environment, and communicate with team members to support continuous production.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Close visual acuity to perform visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience operating manufacturing, and process control equipment
- Extrusion, thermoform, Injection Mold, or related plastics machine operator experience
