Job Summary
Control the extrusion line from raw material input to finished product, managing machine setup, production speeds, and changeovers while adhering to lock-out/tag-out procedures. Monitor extruded product for gauge, color, and surface defects, performing quality control tests and maintaining company standards. Transfer data to daily logs and follow the production schedule to meet customer orders. Report line malfunctions immediately to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean work area and safe environment by following all safety policies. Rotating 12-hour shifts available, including day (6a-6p) and night (6p-6a).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience
- forklift certification
- Ability to read production tickets
- Ability to work at an accelerated pace
- Ability to perform math calculations
- Ability to measure using measuring tape or other instruments
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be computer literate
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to stretch
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
