Job Summary
Extrusion Process Technician A leads line changes and tooling setup, troubleshoots and maintains extrusion equipment, and trains Operators and Technician B to ensure safe, clean, and efficient production that meets quality standards. Responsibilities include changeovers, startup/shutdown of the extrusion department, equipment adjustment for quality, maintaining setup records and run profiles, adhering to safety policies, and supporting the production supervisor with training and leadership as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Minimum of eight years of plastic processing experience performing sophisticated set-ups or six years plastic experience in a similar or same role
- Certificate from an accredited trade school that teaches plastic processing
- Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely
- Must meet all requirements of a Process Technician “B” and “C”
- Ability to process an extrusion machine, making adjustments to the process to ensure that quality is met
- Passing a company post-employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background and security checks, as required
