Job Summary
Manage Take-Up machines to wind finished cable, ensuring perfect tension and product readiness for shipping. Verify cable wall thickness using calipers to meet safety and performance specifications. Program inkjet systems to print safety codes and branding directly onto the cable jacket. Ensure every foot of cable is built to exact specifications, labeled correctly, and packaged securely. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting the Lead Operator on a high-speed production line.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict productivity standards
- A track record of consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow complex directions, seek clarification when needed, and maintain legible, accurate production records (Labels & Travelers)
- Responsive to management direction and willing to take full responsibility for personal actions and performance
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures
