Job Summary

Intern to assist with the organization, documentation, preparation, and management of biological and geological specimens for the UA Little Rock Museum of Natural History. Responsibilities include inventorying and organizing specimens, cataloging by recording relevant information (type, classification, provenance), labeling specimens and storage containers, assisting with cleaning, preparation, and basic stabilization of samples, maintaining accurate records of specimen locations and catalog information, assisting with safe handling, storage, and organization of biological or geological materials, supporting general collection management tasks including data entry and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; coursework in Biology, Geology, Museum Studies or related disciplines; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; dependability and punctuality; own transportation to campus. Salary: $2,500 stipend (annualized to $30,000). Background checks may be conducted as part of pre-employment screening.
