Job Summary
The Extra Help Assistant/Intern Construction Project Coordinator position is designed for students enrolled in the UA Little Rock B.S. Construction Management and B.S. Civil and Construction Engineering programs. The role offers practical experience in construction and project management, assisting the Director of Planning, Design, and Construction in managing major and minor construction projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with Facilities Management, reviewing plans for accuracy, performing site visits, and serving as project manager for minor projects. Interns will receive mentorship and are expected to have essential knowledge of construction site safety, sustainability principles, and budget development.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the UA Little Rock B.S. Construction Management and B.S. Civil and Construction Engineering program.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty or instructor in the UA Little Rock Department of Construction Management.
- Achieved at least a 2.00 grade point average (GPA) in CNMG courses.
Desired Qualifications
- Any experience in the construction industry or a related field is preferred but not required.
