Job Summary
Originates first mortgage loans for members and non-members through realtor and builder referrals, online inquiries, and walk-in traffic. Meets with area realtors and builders to promote mortgage products and support loan origination volume. Explains loan program features, benefits, and risks; reviews loan conditions with borrowers and collects required documentation. Manages an active loan pipeline, communicates loan status to members and agents, and performs timely follow-ups on leads and files. Maintains effective working relationships with branch employees and mortgage department staff to support education and referrals. Identifies opportunities for cross-selling additional products to members engaged in the mortgage process. Requires active MLO registration with NMLS, minimum five years experience originating first-mortgage loans, and familiarity with Encompass LOS and CRM platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated communication, self‐motivation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to represent and support Mortgage Loan Originators for at least two years
- Minimum of five years of experience originating or processing first‐mortgage loans
- Active registration as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
- Registration must be completed within sixty days of hire and maintained annually, including all required updates

- Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and loan processing workflows
- Experience managing a high‐volume loan pipeline with exceptional accuracy and follow‐through
- Familiarity with Encompass LOS, CRM, and digital mortgage platforms
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast‐paced team environment
