Job Summary
External Communications Manager I oversees Modivcare's external communications, including media relations, press materials, social media, and evergreen PR content for the corporate brand. Responsibilities include serving as primary media contact, developing relationships with healthcare and business journalists, drafting and distributing press releases and statements, maintaining corporate PR content libraries, shaping corporate social media strategy, coordinating speaking opportunity materials, aligning external messaging with employee communications, collaborating with marketing and government/public affairs, measuring earned media performance, and supporting crisis communications. Requires Bachelor's Degree in communications-related field and 7+ years in media/public relations, with healthcare/Medicaid experience preferred; travel may be required. Salary range: $80,400-$108,600; bonus eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field required
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in media relations, public relations, or external communications required
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
