Job Summary
Teach up to 14 contact hours of general mathematics courses including Elementary Statistics, Intermediate Algebra, and Applied Contemporary Math, both seated and online. Demonstrate excellence in teaching while holding reliable, student-accessible office hours and interacting with diverse student populations. Take part as needed in advising and mentoring students, developing curricula, recruiting students, and attending division and faculty meetings. Fall 2026 semester availability required. Master's degree in Mathematics preferred with teaching experience in community college settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mathematics or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred; or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and 6 years or more experience in the field
- Teaching experience, preferably in the community college setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills as necessary for working with diverse groups of people with varying backgrounds and learning styles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to and effectively learn new technologies (learning management systems, online tools, etc.)
- Familiarity with a breadth and depth of technologies, as applied to specific classes
