Job Summary
Drive all Exterior Engineering work on future model programs to meet VINFAST Engineering Requirements and product development timing. Lead and build a skilled technical team to support the VINFAST portfolio, managing human resources, budget, and program delivery within allocated constraints. Establish and maintain the exterior organization efficiency at each level, including hiring and dismissing staff, while implementing best practice engineering methods. Provide technical guidance to top management for strategic decisions and conduct performance reviews to coach and develop the team toward full engineering capability. Report budgets and plans to leadership while inspiring the team using VINFAST DNA behaviors in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in automotive or related industries
- Experience on directing a team or department
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering)
- Demonstrated agility in operating within matrix organizations and teams
- Highly organized
- Effective communicator and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams from different areas of the company and with the key supplier
- Motivational skills
- In-depth knowledge in Exterior engineering
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and active learner with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in multi-national relationships
- Demonstrate a high degree of resilience and ability to deal with high pressure situations using a logical data driven approach
- Be accountable for delivery and demonstrate strong organizational skills
