Job Summary
Oversee routine exterior landscape maintenance for client accounts, including mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, and debris removal using hand and power tools. Lead a crew by example, assigning tasks equitably, conducting daily briefings on goals, and providing in-field training on horticultural techniques and safety. Manage equipment inventory, ensure tools are clean and secure, and maintain company vehicles through regular inspections and cleaning. Report accidents, equipment failures, or customer concerns immediately to the Manager while adhering to all safety and environmental standards. Maintain a professional appearance, uphold quality standards, and restore work sites to original condition upon completion.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of horticultural education or equivalent industry experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record
- Must be knowledgeable of various types of common plants and be able to identify the plants that the Company maintains
- Verifiable good working knowledge of proper horticultural techniques including pruning, watering, fertilizing and insect and disease control
- Experience using standard landscape equipment and tools properly and safely (21 mower, line trimmer, blower, power shears, and hand tools)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must have close vision

- Must be able to remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.)
- Must be able to adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy
- Must be able to keep tools and equipment organized and secure when on job sites
- Must be able to keep power equipment secured with cable and lock when in truck and not in use
- Must be able to keep tools in working order ensuring they are clean, sharp, organized, and labeled accordingly
- Must be able to report problems/concerns with equipment and tools or need for tools/equipment and supplies
- Must be able to ensure interior and exterior work sites are restored to original condition, or better if necessary-- without holes, exposed pipes or gravel, footprints in beds or interior spaces, exposed roots, or soil/debris on surrounding hardscape upon completion of work
