Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Minimum of 1-2 years of horticultural education or equivalent industry experience
• •Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record
• •Must be knowledgeable of various types of common plants and be able to identify the plants that the Company maintains
• •Verifiable good working knowledge of proper horticultural techniques including pruning, watering, fertilizing and insect and disease control
• •Experience using standard landscape equipment and tools properly and safely (21 mower, line trimmer, blower, power shears, and hand tools)
• •Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds
• •Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• •Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
• •Must have close vision
• •Must have distance vision
• •Must have color vision
• •Must have peripheral vision
• •Must have depth perception
• •Must have the ability to adjust focus
• •Must be able to talk and/or hear

• •Must be able to maintain clean vehicle at all times, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness
• •Must be able to remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.)
• •Must be able to adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy
• •Must be able to keep tools and equipment organized and secure when on job sites
• •Must be able to keep power equipment secured with cable and lock when in truck and not in use
• •Must be able to keep tools in working order ensuring they are clean, sharp, organized, and labeled accordingly
• •Must be able to report problems/concerns with equipment and tools or need for tools/equipment and supplies
• •Must be able to ensure interior and exterior work sites are restored to original condition, or better if necessary-- without holes, exposed pipes or gravel, footprints in beds or interior spaces, exposed roots, or soil/debris on surrounding hardscape upon completion of work
• •Must be able to maintain areas as assigned
• •Must be able to monitor emails, and phone messages throughout workday and respond in a timely manner
• •Must be able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment

• •Must be able to report immediately to Manager any accidents, illnesses or other non-routine occurrence that is a cause for concern and/or that may disrupt work schedule
