Job Summary

Assistant University Extension Educator, WORTH Institute (Tourism) serves Wyoming and focuses on improving tourism-related economic development across the state. Primary duties include developing and leading tourism community engagement strategies, assessing client needs and evaluating programming impacts, collaborating with Extension Educators on programs, training others as a subject matter expert on Wyoming tourism, and contributing to statewide workforce development, engagement, and applied research. The role involves teaching remotely (one 3-credit course per year) and serving communities throughout Wyoming with substantial overnight travel, evening, and weekend work. The successful candidate will work with regional outdoor recreation collaboratives and the Wyoming Office of Tourism to enhance visitor experiences, and will participate in outreach to local destination marketing organizations and communities. This is a non-tenured faculty position. The work location is on-campus with the possibility of travel and remote teaching, and sponsorship for work authorization is not available. The role emphasizes collaboration with federal and state agencies, local governments, and industry partners to foster sustainable tourism growth.
