Job Summary
Ride Operators are responsible for the safe, consistent, and efficient operation of attractions while delivering exceptional guest service. Duties include performing daily safety inspections, enforcing policies, reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining a clean appearance, communicating professionally with guests, documenting inspections and sign-offs, and ensuring riders meet safety requirements. The role requires familiarity with attraction procedures, ability to operate controls per SOPs, monitoring guest behavior, handling emergencies calmly, and completing required certifications (including iROC) and background checks. Excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years old.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Ability to be a team player and cooperate with coworkers.
- Flexibility to adapt to change.
- Ability to take action to meet guest needs within park guidelines.
- Ability to retain information and comprehend instructions.
- Ability to maintain dependable attendance.
- Ability to ride any attraction requiring a physical ride.
- Ability to speak comfortably in front of crowds, including using a PA system.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Completion of all required attraction certifications.
- All Ride Operations hosts must participate in the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to commit to availability from early May through the first week of January 2027.
- Ages 18+ for this position; 16-17 for the different role specified.
