Job Summary

Create and deliver engaging enrichment activities, academic assistance, and recreational programming to students enrolled in the after school program. Develop lesson plans, organize supplies, and maintain accurate documentation of attendance and safety instances. Supervise assigned children to ensure a safe, organized environment while enforcing rules and applying consistent positive discipline. Maintain open communication with parents, school staff, and the ASP Manager regarding behavior, schedule changes, and program information. Adhere to all school policies, emergency procedures, and confidentiality standards while reporting issues immediately. Work 22 hours weekly including potential weekend or night shifts, performing janitorial duties and maintaining clean-up schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience and/ or Associate Degree, in early childhood education and/or development
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Planning and implementing age appropriate, enriching lessons and activities
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Supervising youth and presenting positive role modeling through all interactions with program
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Meeting program goals as outlined in the Ingenium Schools Policies and Procedures Manual, and ASP Program
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Keeping confidences, loyalties and practice
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Being reliable and maintaining attendance and punctuality
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Working a flexible schedule to meet program staffing/planning
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Exercising mature judgment and sound decision
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Communicating effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in Learning, following and enforcing campus and Ingenium Schools guidelines related to internal policies and procedures
  • Lift 40 pounds using proper technique
  • Must have adequate vision to effectively review documents in varied formats e.g. paper and digital
  • Must have adequate hearing to respond to and interact with the public
  • Ability to stand for up to 5 hours
  • Ability to run up to 100 yards
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and early mornings, as needed
