Job Summary
Extended Day Proctor for after-school program serving lower/middle school students, 3:15 p.m.–6:00 p.m. on weekdays when school is in session. Core duties include developing, coordinating, and conducting an engaging program with supervised play (indoor/outdoor), homework time, creative activities, snacks, and supervision; conducting prescribed activities; interacting with children to support play and learning; maintaining enrollment and sign-in/out sheets; coordinating with music/enrichment providers; and assisting with supplies and purchases. Requires 21+ years old, relevant child-care or educational setting experience, First Aid/ CPR certification (or willingness to take), strong interpersonal, communication, time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Salary range: $26–$28 per hour (annualized $54,080–$58,240). Location: Potomac, MD, USA. The role is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position with up to 15 hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- First Aid/ CPR Certification or willingness to take 6-hour certification course
- Must have documented experience in providing child care and/or experience in an educational/social science field
- Work/volunteer experience in an educational setting is preferred
