Job Summary
Extended Day Aide at Saint Thomas More Cathedral School in Arlington, VA, provides before- and after-school supervision for PreK–8 students, helps with homework, and facilitates activities that promote social and emotional growth. The role supports a safe, nurturing, faith-filled environment, communicates with families and staff, and upholds the school’s Catholic mission while assisting with arrival and dismissal transitions and snack distribution. Hours are before: 6:45–7:45 AM and after: 3:00–6:00 PM, with flexible scheduling and an hourly wage of $16.00–$18.00. The position requires reliability, adaptability, and a demonstrated ability to supervise children in both structured and unstructured settings, with preference for candidates who have experience with children and some college coursework in education or child development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college coursework in education/child development preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
