Job Summary
Conduct acute care nursing assessments, diagnoses, and care planning for patients in a 7p-7a night shift at Spalding Medical Center. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, document care, and provide patient education while adhering to Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards. Complete mandatory BLS and ACLS certifications, maintain 36 hours weekly under a contingency staffing model, and fulfill a required 13-week surge season assignment from October through March. Mentor staff and participate in performance improvement initiatives to support safe, evidence-based patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 13 week contract is required during surge season (Oct-March) BEFORE a candidate can be considered for PRN shifts during non-peak months
- Team Members are required to complete: 1 (one) 13-week assignment between Oct 1st – March 31st (surge season) each year
- Team Members will be scheduled 36 hours/week
- Team Members are required to work 3 (three) Mondays and/or Fridays, and 3 (three) Saturdays and/or Sundays in a 4-week scheduling period
- Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional
- Minimum 1 year of Experience Required
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
