Expressive Arts Therapist

The Expressive Arts Therapist delivers therapeutic recreation programs in a school setting, serving students through art, music, or recreational therapy as a classroom teacher and multidisciplinary team member. Responsibilities include creating curricula and individualized plans aligned to IEP goals, differentiating instruction across multiple grade levels, designing and implementing lesson plans, managing a caseload of students, responding to student behaviors, and collaborating with the Clinical Coordinator, Curriculum and Instructional Coach, Educational Coordinator, and classroom staff to support student progress. Requires CTRS or PEL or Music Teacher certification and 2+ years of experience in modalities such as music therapy, art therapy, or adventure therapy; strong knowledge of best practices for students with Autism.
