Expression of Interest - Department Manager

As a Department Manager at Bunnings, you will lead a team of 20+ colleagues to manage daily operations, sales, stock control, and safety within your specialist area across multiple departments. You’ll train and develop your team to deliver Best Experience to customers, drive service levels, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership, and Health & Safety teams. The role includes opening/closing duties across weekdays and weekends, rostering and planning to meet service promises, strong merchandising, stock accuracy, loss prevention, and supplier relationship management. Aims include driving department sales, ensuring safety culture and compliance, and building capability through coaching and recognition. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, stakeholder management, and KPI-focused operational excellence in a large, high-volume retail environment.
