Job Summary
Lubricate moving parts of various machinery with specified lubricants, inspect fluid levels for engine, hydraulics, and transmission compartments, and inject grease using hand or compressed-air powered guns. Drain and refill oil, collect samples for testing, replace oil and air filters, and recommend additional services during customer inspection reviews. Monitor inventory levels of oil and filters, inform customers of upcoming service due dates, and complete service reports for work orders. Operate boom trucks, overhead and field service cranes, and various equipment on customer job sites while maintaining inventories. Work weekends in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, with a starting pay of $34.97 to $43.96 per hour and eligibility for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Capability of operating boom truck or equivalent
- Proper use of overhead and field service cranes
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites
- Proficiency in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software
- Ability to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders
- Willingness to work overtime as required by job and customer demand
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit
- Regularly lift and/or more up to 70 pounds
