Job Summary

Correlate security signals into exposure narratives focused on exploitability and impact, identifying attack paths that lead to data access, privilege expansion, and sensitive data exposure. Own SME coverage for data-layer exposure across RDBMS, NoSQL systems, and object storage, addressing insecure permissions, exposed storage, weak encryption, and misconfigured access policies. Partner with data platform and engineering teams to reduce exposure creation, improve prevention guardrails, and track closure outcomes for high-impact data exposure conditions. Apply CTEM principles to prioritize remediation guidance and validate exposure hypotheses with queries and logs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in data platform security, cloud security, security engineering, or exposure management
  • Understanding of data access models, permissioning, and common misconfiguration patterns
  • Ability to translate data risk into business impact and remediation priorities
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with object storage security, database hardening concepts, and data access governance
  • Familiarity with cloud data services and their permission models
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to validate exposure hypotheses with queries/logs
