Job Summary
File EEI with US Customs and Border Protection via ACE, obtain ocean bookings, and audit orders for accuracy before release. Coordinate with warehouses, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to schedule shipments, manage capacity with ocean and land carriers, and arrange drayage bookings. Monitor order progression across departments, track delayed or split shipments, and communicate status updates to external customers and regional offices. Validate HS codes, product descriptions, and FOB values against US Customs regulations while enforcing terms of agreement and compliance for high-risk countries. Assist in executing rush orders to meet sales volume targets and solve problems by assessing alternative options for assigned tasks. Maintain accurate system records and customer-specific information within the operating system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in English
- Freight forwarder experience
- Experience working effectively with transport service providers
- Experience in trading, resale, distribution and supply chain
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel with the aptitude to quickly learn and understand additional applications
- Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office
- Hybrid in-office and/or work-from-home role
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift to 20lbs
- Must be able to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Freight forwarder experience preferred
- Experience working effectively with transport service providers
- Experience in trading, resale, distribution and supply chain preferred
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
